Case Study

CASE 01

PR strategy focused on branding, not just exposure

– A PR case study of a consulting firm aiming for an IPO.

Challenges

“Communicating Corporate Value Through PR: A Focus on IPO Preparation”

A consulting firm, from the stage of considering an IPO, fully launched its public relations activities with Network Communications.
They embarked on a branding-focused PR strategy aimed at accurately conveying their corporate value and business uniqueness to society, rather than just pursuing mere exposure.

Approaches

With an in-house team largely inexperienced in public relations, Network Communications provided ongoing, hands-on support.
We offered consistent assistance, from media selection and message design to building relationships with journalists, thereby establishing PR expertise within the company.

Results

As a result, they established a strategic and sustainable PR system that wasn’t solely focused on the number of media placements.
Even during the critical lead-up to their IPO, they prioritized communicating corporate value over short-term exposure, which fostered greater social trust.

CASE 02

Support for building a PR system that conveys passion/enthusiasm

– Building a PR system for startups and for PR team development.

Challenges

A startup providing cloud-based security camera services, experiencing rapid growth, recognized the need for a public relations function that could effectively convey the company’s passion and energy.
However, with no in-house PR personnel and previous collaborations with PR firms proving unsuccessful, they required a complete restructuring of their PR system.

Approaches

To address this challenge, our company provided hands-on support, which included training a newly appointed PR staff member with no prior experience.
Specifically, we meticulously guided them through everything from the fundamentals of public relations, such as building relationships with journalists and media outreach methods, to practical application, enabling the manager/person in charge to conduct PR activities independently.

Moreover, the company’s PR manager, possessing a deep understanding and passion for their product, approached media presentations with such enthusiasm that they even described their own product as “cute.”

Results

This stance effectively conveyed the company’s passion to the media and stakeholders.
As a result, the PR function became well-established within the company, and with the growth of the responsible team member, a public relations system was built that contributed to enhancing the company’s brand value.
This initiative became a lasting asset for the company, offering not just short-term results but also long-term value.
